Art curator Ximena Caminos asks $7.7 million for colorful Miami Beach penthouse

A Miami Beach penthouse owned and designed by art curator Ximena Caminos, the former partner of Argentinian hotelier and real estate developer Alan Faena, has just hit the market for $7.7 million.

Caminos, the founder of Faena Art, is also the founder of ReefLine, a 7-mile-long underwater public sculpture park, snorkel trail and “purpose-built” reef just 600 feet off the Miami Beach shoreline.

The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home comes with a 3,500-square-foot rooftop sky bar. Located at Caribbean, 3739 Collins Ave., which was designed by architect L. Murray Dixon and built in 1941.

The entire penthouse—two units purchased separately for a total of $4.25 million—was combined and renovated by Caminos, with “architectural consulting” by Galia Solomonoff of SAS/Solomonoff Architecture Studio.

The 3,357-square-foot residence comes with ocean views and elegant interiors, including vintage furniture, art and hand-painted murals by Argentinian artist Augusto Falopapas.

Design details include multiple balconies, 11-foot high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass doors.

The master bedroom comes with an ensuite, and a second bedroom repurposed as a custom closet. There’s also a hidden chef’s kitchen crafted with pink onyx “to feel more like a bar,” according to the listing by Compass broker Nancy Batchelor.

Art and furnishings are also available to purchase separately, she added.

Outside, the roof terrace features a kitchen with a stone bar, a pergola and multiple lounging areas with beach and ocean views.

Building amenities include beach and pool service, a concierge, a wine cellar, and a fitness center.
